The Chating copper polymetallic ore exploration project has finished all drilling works ahead of time. The whole task took merely four months, achieving zero safety incidents and pollution-free green exploration.
Previously, Tibet Yulong Copper Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Western Mining Co., Ltd., acquired the exploration right of the Chating deposit via bidding. The mining area covers 10.447 square kilometers, targeting copper, gold, silver, lead, zinc and sulfur.
The exploration was designed to reach full exploration standards in one go. With a total planned investment of RMB150 million (USD22.13 million), the project includes 71 boreholes for the initial mining zone with a total drilling footage of 100,090 meters and a maximum depth of 2,000 meters. High-power 3D induced polarization geophysical survey was conducted across the entire area to assess mineral prospects in the periphery and deep parts of the deposit, alongside other geological surveys.
