Major Chinese steel mills' daily finished steel output rises in mid-May

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 20.07 million tonnes of finished steel in the second ten days of May, with an average daily output of 2,007,000 tonnes, up 3.3% from early May, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, finished steel inventories at major mills were 18.77 million tonnes, an increase of 1.89 million tonnes, or 11.2%, from ten days earlier.
