India's JSW Steel produced 2.11 million tonnes of crude steel in April, a 1% decline from the same month a year earlier. The company attributed the drop mainly to the ongoing expansion of Blast Furnace No. 3 at its Vijayanagar plant, which is scheduled to restart in the fourth quarter of 2026. Domestic Indian output also slipped 1% to 2.04 million tonnes. Combined production from its US operations fell 7% year-on-year to 78,000 tonnes, down from 84,000 tonnes in April 2025.
