Australia Red Mountain Mining Limited, a critical minerals explorer with operations across Tier-1 mining districts in the United States and Australia, has received formal approval from the NSW Resources Regulator for a 32-hole reverse circulation drilling program at its wholly owned Armidale Antimony-Gold Project in New South Wales. Each hole is permitted to a maximum depth of 300 metres at the Oaky Creek antimony prospect, and the company is now finalising schedules for a planned start by the end of this quarter.
Alongside the drilling approval, Red Mountain reported that an induced polarisation survey has been completed across the Oaky Creek South area. The IP data will be used to refine targeting for deeper mineralisation, and depending on outcomes, the company may expand the geophysical coverage across the entire Oaky Creek prospect to detect antimony zones that lack a surface geochemical signature.
Surface exploration results reinforce Oaky Creek's potential: conventional and auger soil sampling, plus rock chip assays, returned grades of up to 39.3% antimony and 1.09 grams per tonne gold. These results outline a large-scale orogenic antimony-gold vein system with a strike length of approximately three kilometres. Red Mountain draws comparisons to Larvotto Resources' Hillgrove project, Australia's largest known antimony deposit.
With multiple drill-ready targets now defined along this three-kilometre trend, Oaky Creek is emerging as a sizeable orogenic antimony system and a principal focus for Red Mountain's upcoming exploration campaign.
