Australia imposes 27.8% anti-dumping duty on steel corner beads and angles from China

The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission has concluded its anti-dumping (AD) investigation into steel corner beads and angles imported from China. As a result, a 27.8% ad valorem duty will be applied to non-cooperative exporters and all other Chinese suppliers.
The ruling applies to products classified under customs codes 7216.61.00.57, 7216.69.00.58, 7216.91.00.59, 7216.99.00.60, and 7308.90.00.53. Excluded from the measures are plastic and stainless steel corner beading, as well as external render or texture beading.
The investigation stems from an application filed in 2025 by Rondo Building Services Pty Ltd. To assess market impact, the authority examined dumping data from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, while the injury assessment period extended back to July 1, 2020.
