Yunnan Hongshun to build prebaked anode project in Shizong

On April 3, Shizong County Government signed an investment cooperation agreement with Yunnan Hongshun New Materials Co., Ltd. for a prebaked anode project with an annual production capacity of 2.1 million tonnes.
With a total planned investment of about RMB6.7 billion (USD980 million) and a land area of around 1,700 Mu (113 hectares), the project will be developed in four phases, including the construction of seven prebaked anode production lines, as well as supporting facilities such as waste heat power generation systems.
Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate annual sales revenue of around RMB11 billion (USD1.61 billion), along with annual tax contributions of approximately RMB370 million (USD54.12 million), and create more than 2,000 jobs. It is set to become a benchmark project for the development of advanced materials industry in Yunnan.
