Qinghai NFC Mining Development Co., Ltd., a majority-owned subsidiary of China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. (NFC), has acquired exploration rights for the Harizha polymetallic deposit in Dulan, Qinghai, for RMB214 million (USD31.1 million). The exploration license, primarily targeting lead, is valid through November 25, 2030.
The Harizha polymetallic deposit is estimated to host Indicated and Inferred resources of approximately 45.42 million tonnes of ore, containing a total of around 446,000 tonnes of metals.
Lead is the primary component, with total resources of about 252,800 tonnes (contained metal), including 251,400 tonnes from 28.6 million tonnes of primary ore at an average grade of 0.88% Pb, and a further 1,400 tonnes from 0.57 million tonnes of associated ore grading 0.24% Pb.
Zinc resources amount to roughly 105,300 tonnes, comprising 49,000 tonnes from 4.69 million tonnes of primary ore at 1.04% Zn, and 56,300 tonnes from 17.09 million tonnes of associated ore at 0.33% Zn.
Copper totals approximately 87,100 tonnes, including 84,000 tonnes from 19.36 million tonnes of primary ore at an average grade of 0.43% Cu, along with 3,100 tonnes from 3.58 million tonnes of associated ore grading 0.09% Cu.
