Luoyang Shenglong Mining Group Co., Ltd. officially listed on the Main Board of Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) on March 31, planing to raise RMB1.68 billion (USD243 million) through the issuance of 215 million new shares. The funds will primarily support the Angou molybdenum polymetallic project in Henan and other key development initiatives.
As one of China's leading large-scale molybdenum producers, Shenglong Mining specializes in the production, processing, and sale of molybdenum products such as molybdenum concentrate and ferromolybdenum. By the end of 2024, the company held five medium-to-large molybdenum mining assets, including four mining rights and one exploration right, with total molybdenum resources of 710,500 tonnes, accounting for around 9.1% of the nation's reserves.
The Nannihu molybdenum mine, currently in production, has a licensed mining capacity of 16.5 million tonnes per year, making it China's largest single operating molybdenum mine. The under-construction Angou polymetallic project is estimated to hold resources of 47.5 million tonnes of ore, containing 32,600 tonnes of molybdenum.
With the upcoming 50,000t/d expansion project at Nannihu and the 5,000t/d processing project at Angou, Shenglong Mining's total capacity will reach 55,000t/d. By then, annual molybdenum production is expected to rise by about 25%, reaching 12,300-13,100 tonnes, further cementing the company's leadership in China's molybdenum industry.
