Wuchuan low-grade bauxite project set for trial run

A low-grade bauxite utilization project in Wuchuan County, Guizhou Province, was completed on March 11 and is set to begin trial production by the end of the month.
The project, with a total investment of RMB110 million (USD16 million), is designed to process 300,000 tonnes per annum of low-grade bauxite and mining waste, producing about 160,000tpa of aluminum concentrate. It is expected to generate annual revenue of around RMB100 million (USD14.53 million) and create more than 60 jobs.
Output from the project will be supplied directly to CPI Guizhou Zunyi Industry Development Co., Ltd., forming part of an integrated value chain covering mining, waste utilization and downstream processing, and supporting greener, more efficient development of the local aluminum industry.
