Jingye (Yingkou) upgrades high-speed wire rod production line

Jingye (Yingkou) Medium Plate Co., Ltd. has signed a contract with SMS group to upgrade the No.1 high-speed wire rod line at its Yingkou plant, aiming to expand product specifications and boost production of high value-added special steels, particularly for automotive and specialty applications. Equipment delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning expected in the fourth quarter.
After the upgrade, the line will produce 5-25 mm round wire rod and 6-16 mm coiled rebar, covering steel grades such as high-carbon steel, tire cord steel, welding wire steel, cold heading steel, spring steel, tool steel, bearing steel and free-cutting steel. The designed maximum rolling speed will reach 115 m/s, improving production efficiency and market supply capability.
