Xinbo Aluminum terminates 600ktpa recycled aluminum project

Anhui Xinbo Aluminum Co., Ltd. announced it will terminate its 600,000 tonne-per-annum recycled aluminum project and redirect the remaining raised funds to working capital.
The project had a planned investment of RMB620 million (89.91 million), with about RMB500 million (USD72.51 million) already spent as of February 24, 2026. It was designed in three phases, with the first two phases already completed and operational.
The company cited intensifying market competition and weaker-than-expected returns, saying the move will help optimize resource allocation and better align with its current strategy.
