Shangshang Desheng starts phase I production at 125ktpa stainless steel pipe project

On February 25, Shangshang Desheng Group launched Phase I of its "Future Smart Factory" stainless steel pipe project in the Songyang Economic Development Zone.
The project, located at the Chishou Premium Stainless Steel Demonstration Park, involves total investment of about RMB1 billion (USD146 million) and covers 395 Mu (around 26 hectares). It is designed with 125,000tpa of stainless steel pipe capacity and will be built in two phases.
The newly commissioned Phase I workshop has an automation rate of around 70%. Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate annual output value of about RMB2 billion (USD292 million).
