Oriental Hope Sanmenxia Aluminum launches efficiency upgrade project

On February 25, Oriental Hope (Sanmenxia) Aluminum Products Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for an integrated efficiency upgrade project with a total investment of RMB2.35 billion (USD344 million).
The project includes several subprojects, such as red mud comprehensive utilization for iron extraction, upgrades to the gallium recovery line from alumina mother liquor, and the construction of a production line with annual capacity of 20 tonnes of high-purity gallium and gallium oxide powder.
After full completion and ramp-up, the combined output of alumina and gallium production lines is expected to increase by 10%, while unit production costs will fall by more than 5%. The project's total output value is expected to exceed RMB12 billion (USD1.76 billion).
