Nanjing Titanium Dioxide Chemical Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of GPRO Titanium Industry, has temporarily suspended operations since February 10 to carry out safety rectification and equipment maintenance.
The company said the suspension was due to its current financial position and production conditions, as well as weaker titanium dioxide demand ahead of the Spring Festival, when some chemical producers typically curb output. Acid hydrolysis feeding has been halted, with subsequent processes to be shut down in stages. Production is expected to resume gradually in late February 2026.
The temporary shutdown is not expected to have a material impact on the company's operations in 2026.
