SDIC Jincheng Metallurgy Co., Ltd. has put its smelting solid waste recycling project into operation, with the first batch of lead ingot and ferroarsenic alloy product produced. The project is China's first large-scale ferroarsenic alloy recycling facility at a copper smelter, marking a significant step forward in solid waste treatment for the domestic copper smelting industry.
With a total investment of RMB339 million (USD48.54 million), the project is designed to process around 70,000 tonnes of smelting solid waste annually. Using the company's proprietary energy-efficient technology and a newly built side-blown smelting furnace system, the project can recover about 15,000 tonnes of multi-metal alloys per year and generate roughly 30 million kWh of electricity from waste heat, with estimated annual revenue of about RMB500 million (USD72.03 million).
