Xinjiang Shaobang Mining plans new lead concentrator

Xinjiang Shaobang Mining Technology Co., Ltd. plans to build a 2,000-tonne-per-day lead ore concentrator in Xinjiang, with the project's environmental impact assessment recently submitted for approval to the region's environmental authority.
The project will be located in the Aslanbag Industrial Zone of Shache Industrial Park, covering about 10 hectares. With a total investment of around RMB150 million (USD21.54 million), construction is expected to take about nine months. Once operational, the plant will process 2,000 tonnes of lead ore per day, producing 7,774 tonnes of lead concentrate and 17,111 tonnes of oxidised lead concentrate annually (at 15% moisture content).
