Shenzhen Xihang to build high-purity gallium project in Lvliang

Shenzhen Xihang Semiconductor Co., Ltd. has signed an agreement with Lvliang Economic and Technological Development Zone to invest RMB244 million (USD335.05 million) in a high-purity gallium and compound semiconductor materials project.
The project will focus on producing 7N-grade (Ga 99.99999%) and higher ultra-high-purity gallium, with planned annual capacity of 200 tonnes. Developed in two phases, it will build an integrated value chain from crude gallium refining to single-crystal production. The second phase will also advance the comprehensive utilization of red mud to recover gallium, scandium and other rare metals.
Upon completion, the project is expected to generate more than RMB1 billion (USD144 million) in annual output value and over RMB100 million (USD14.37 million) in annual tax and profit, boosting Lvliang's high-end semiconductor materials supply capacity.
