In 2025, China Molybdenum Co., Ltd. (CMOC) surpassed its production guidance across all major products. Copper output reached 741,149 tonnes, up by more than 90,000 tonnes from 2024, achieving 118% of the guidance midpoint. Copper production grew steadily throughout the year, with nearly 200,000 tonnes produced in the fourth quarter alone.
Production of other metals also exceeded expectations, with annual output of 117,549 tonnes of cobalt (107% of guidance), 13,906 tonnes of molybdenum (103%), 7,114 tonnes of tungsten (102%), and a record 10,348 tonnes of niobium (103%).
For 2026, CMOC expects to produce 760,000-820,000 tonnes of copper, 100,000-120,000 tonnes of cobalt, 11,500-14,500 tonnes of molybdenum, 6,500-7,500 tonnes of tungsten, and 10,000-11,000 tonnes of niobium. If copper output reaches the top end, the company will hit its 800,000-tonne annual target ahead of schedule.
CMOC is advancing the KFM Phase II expansion, which will add 100,000 tonnes of annual copper capacity in 2027, and is also planning the TFM Phase III project, aiming for 1 million tonnes of copper production by 2028.
