The Shuoqi industrial silicon project recently broke ground in the Ming'antu Industrial Park of Zhengxiangbai Banner, marking the launch of the first industrial silicon production facility in Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia.
With a total investment of 500 million yuan (70.24 million US dollars), the project includes two 33,000 kVA furnaces and a waste heat power generation system, designed to produce 28,600 tonnes of silicon metal annually. Construction is progressing well and the project is expected to be completed in 2026.
Once operational, it will supply high-quality industrial silicon to Xilin Gol League and nearby regions, expected to generate about 310 million yuan (43.55 million US dollars) in annual output, contribute 10 million yuan (1.40 million US dollars) in taxes, and create over 300 jobs, giving a strong boost to the local silicon industry.
