China launches 2025 nationwide workplace safety checks

China has officially launched its 2025 nationwide work safety inspections. 22 teams, led by officials from the State Council Work Safety Committee, are being dispatched to 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps to review local workplace safety performance. The inspection is expected to conclude by the end of this November.
As of November 10, ten teams have already arrived in Shanxi, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Gansu, and Xinjiang to begin their work.
This is the first annual inspection carried out under the Measures for Work Safety Inspection and Assessment, issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council.
