China's finished steel output rises 5.4% in Q1-Q3

In September 2025, China produced 66.05 million tonnes of pig iron, down by 2.4% YoY, 73.49 million tonnes of crude steel, down by 4.6% YoY, and 124.21 million tonnes of finished steel products, rising by 5.1% YoY, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first three quarters, China's production of pig iron declined by 1.1% YoY to 645.86 million tonnes, crude steel production decreased by 2.9% YoY to 746.25 million tonnes, while finished steel products production increased by 5.4% YoY to around 1.1 billion tonnes.
