China's copper cathode output rises 14.8% YoY in Aug

China's refined copper (copper cathode) production recorded around 1.3 million tonnes in August 2025, up by 14.8% YoY, and that of copper products increased by 9.8% YoY to 2.22 million tonnes, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to August, China produced approximately 9.89 million tonnes of copper cathode, up by 10.1% against the prior year period, and 16.6 million tonnes of copper products, up by 10.7% versus a year ago.
