Fugu's Jan-Jul magnesium output down 7% YoY

China's Fugu county reported a total output value from industrial enterprises above designated size of RMB62.14 billion (USD8.73 billion) in the first seven months of 2025, down by 10.3% from the year-ago period, with the added value rising 12% YoY, according to the local statistics bureau.
From January to July, Fugu produced about 286,800 tonnes of magnesium metal, down by 7% YoY. Production of other major products included 55.44 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 0.6% YoY, 9.7 million tonnes of washed coal, up by 17% YoY, 4.12 million tonnes of semi-coke, down by 21% YoY, 161,700 tonnes of calcium carbide, down by 12.2% YoY, and 381,400 tonnes of ferroalloys, inching up by 0.1% YoY.
