GEM's nickel and cobalt self-supply reached a record high, effectively offsetting the impact of the DRC cobalt export ban. Its Indonesia nickel project delivered 43,977 tonnes of contained nickel in the January-June period, up by 112% YoY, while own sourced cobalt production totaled 3,667 tonnes, jumping 125% YoY . In July, the project produced 11,224 tonnes of nickel and 916 tonnes of cobalt, reflecting steady output growth.
During the first half, recycled tungsten shipments reached 4,032 tonnes (in WC equivalent), up by 17% YoY, generating revenue growth of 37.18%.
H1 shipments of ternary precursor materials stood at 86,000 tonnes, keeping GEM among the world's top two suppliers. Cobalt tetroxide shipments rose 39% to 14,590 tonnes, while cathode material shipments climbed 74% to 12,399 tonnes.
