China's alumina output up 8.5% YoY in Jan-Jul

In July 2025, China produced about 7.57 million tonnes of alumina, up by 4.6% YoY, 3.78 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 0.6% YoY, 1.54 million tonnes of aluminum alloy, up by 10.7% YoY, and 5.48 million tonnes of aluminum products, down by 1.6% YoY, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to July, China's alumina output totaled 52.67 million tonnes, up by 8.5% YoY, primary aluminum production reached 26.38 million tonnes, up by 2.8% YoY, aluminum alloy output increased by 14.8% YoY to 10.63 million tonnes, and aluminum products output inched up by 0.8% YoY to 38.47 million tonnes.
