Fugu's H1 magnesium output slips 3.6% YoY

China's Fugu county reported a total output value from industrial enterprises above designated size of RMB53 billion (USD7.39 billion) in the first half of 2025, down by 10.2% from the prior year period, with the added value up by 11%, according to the local statistics bureau.
From January to June, Fugu produced about 47.3 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 0.5% YoY, 8.2 million tonnes of washed coal, up by 14.7% YoY, 3.45 million tonnes of semi-coke, down by 21.9% YoY, 138,800 tonnes of calcium carbide, down by 13% YoY, 328,300 tonnes of ferroalloys, down by 0.6% YoY, and 244,400 tonnes of magnesium metal, down by 3.6% YoY.
