Weiying New Materials begins production at 10,000tpa antimony project

On August 3, Shaoguan Weiying New Materials Co., Ltd. began production at its green processing project for antimony-containing concentrate, with an annual output of 10,000 tonnes of contained antimony.
Located at Renhua Industrial Park in Shaoguan, the company produces antimony products for applications in high-end photovoltaic glass, flame retardants, and electronics. With a total investment of RMB350 million (USD48.74 million), the project covers about 38,000 sq.m. and includes one office building, two R&D buildings, and eight workshops.
Weiying New Materials works closely with Central South University and the Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. Together, they developed a breakthrough clean smelting technology that raises metal recovery rates, improves quality, eliminates waste emissions, and has already been applied in industrial production.
