Bao Gang United Steel to supply RE alloy steel for Yarlung Zangbo megadam

Inner Mongolia Bao Gang United Steel Co., Ltd. has recently won the bid to supply 62,000 tonnes of rare earth alloy steel for the Yarlung Zangbo hydropower project.
Located in Nyingchi, Tibet Autonomous Region, the Yarlung Zangbo megadam invloves a total investment of approximately 1.2 trillion yuan (167 billion US dollars), making it the largest infrastructure project in China's history. The project will consist of five cascade hydropower stations, producing an estimated 300 million megawatt hours of electricity annually.
