Xinjiang Xiaoerkule plans antimony smelting project

The environmental impact assessment (EIA) for a 20,000-tonne-per-year antimony smelting project by Xinjiang Xiaoerkule Antimony Metallurgy Co., Ltd. has been released for public disclosure.
The project, to be located in the Kundong Economic Development Zone of Minfeng County, will be built in two phases, each with a production capacity of 10,000 tonnes of antimony ingot (Sb 99.70%), in compliance with national standard GB/T 1599-2014.
Using antimony concentrate as the main raw material, the project will adopt a volatilization–reduction–refining process, supported by various additives and automated operations, to produce antimony ingot (Sb 99.70%).
