Valin Steel to add 200ktpa of non-oriented silicon steel capacity

Valin Steel reached full capacity for its first-phase 200,000tpa non-oriented silicon steel project in 2024. In early 2025, it received certification from a top new energy vehicle maker and began large-scale deliveries.
In 2025, the company's electromagnetic materials unit will increase production further. A 100,000tpa oriented silicon steel production line has entered the commissioning phase and is seeking certification from State Grid and China Southern Power Grid. Another 200,000tpa non-oriented silicon steel production line is scheduled to start production in August 2025.
By the end of 2025, Valin Steel expects to have production capacity of 400,000tpa of non-oriented and 100,000tpa of oriented silicon steel. While expanding its high-end silicon steel production, the company will continue to maintain its original silicon steel substrate supply scale to support key customers.
