Zijin Mining posts higher copper production in H1 2025

Zijin Mining produced 570,000 tonnes of mined copper and 41 tonnes of mined gold in the first half of 2025, up by 10% and 17% YoY respectively. Copper and gold sales prices also increased compared to the same period last year.
In its copper segment, phase II of the Julong copper mine in Tibet is progressing on schedule, with several key works completed ahead of time. The project is expected to start production by the end of the year. Meanwhile, its 500,000tpa copper smelter at the Kamoa copper mine is set to begin operations in September 2025.
