POWERCHINA signs KEBO bauxite mining and transport contract in Guinea

Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), through its subsidiary Sinohydro Corporation Limited, has signed a contract with Guinea Kebo Huaxing Mining Company and Huaxing Gaoke (Beijing) Business Development Co., Ltd. for the KEBO bauxite mining and transportation project in Guinea. The contract value is approximately RMB5.063 billion (USD707 million).
The project is located in Madina Dian, Télimélé Province, Kindia Region, covering a mining area of about 204.37 square kilometers. Scope of work includes bauxite exploration, overburden removal, waste stripping, mining, and transportation. The project targets a total bauxite output of around 28 million tonnes, with an overland transportation distance of approximately 197 kilometers. The total construction period is expected to be about 72 months, with no warranty period.
