Huodu New Material starts phase I production at prebaked anode project

On June 19, Inner Mongolia Huodu New Material Co., Ltd. began production at the calcination workshop of its Phase I prebaked anode project, marking a key milestone. The project has a total planned capacity of 600,000 tonnes per year, with Phase I accounting for 300,000 tonnes.
With a total investment of RMB1.2 billion (USD168 million), the project is jointly invested by Qinyang Dushi Group and Holingol Urban Development Group, and is located in the High-Tech Zone's aluminum materials park.
Phase I began construction in August 2024 and is expected to generate RMB1.5 billion (USD209 million) in annual output, RMB100 million (USD13.93 million) in tax revenue, and create around 500 jobs. The project will help ease the local shortage of carbon materials for aluminum production and support the city's goal of becoming a "Green Aluminum Hub".
Dushi Group aims to bring Phase II into operation in October and November, targeting full capacity of 600,000tpa by the end of this year, with future phases already in planning to align with a 1-million-tonne-per-annum primary aluminum project.
