Fluorine recovery is expected to exceed 85%, and lithium extraction to reach 75%-20% higher than traditional methods . Once operational, the project will produce 80,000 tonnes of aluminum fluoride and 5,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate annually, reducing raw ore use by 300,000 tonnes.
Phase I involves a RMB200 million (USD97.42 million) investment to build a facility capable of processing 120,000 tonnes of aluminum waste per year, producing 100,000 tonnes of recycled aluminum fluoride, 5,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate, and 50,000 tonnes of deicing agent.
Construction will begin in July, with production to commence in October. The project is expected to reach full capacity by July 2028, with an estimated annual output value of RMB 2 . 8 billion (USD390 million).
