On June 13, Anhui Baomei began construction on Phase II of its dolomite processing project located in Qingyang, Anhui, marking a key step in strengthening its high-end magnesium materials supply chain and boosting raw material self-sufficiency.
The second phase includes a 6.5-million-tonne-per-annum (tpa) ore crushing line, set to begin operations by the end of 2025 . Once completed, the combined annual capacity of phase I and II will reach 20 million tonnes, with the goal of scaling up to 40 million tonnes by mid-2026 . The project will provide a stable supply of raw materials for Baomei's 300,000tpa high-performance magnesium alloy production.
