Fugu's magnesium output down 2.8% in Jan-Apr

China's Fugu county reported a total output value from industrial enterprises above designated size of RMB35.93 billion (USD5 billion) in the first four months of 2025, down by 2.8% from the year ago period, with the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size up by 12.7%, according to the local statistics bureau.
From January to April, Fugu produced about 30.79 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 1.3% YoY, 5.2 million tonnes of washed coal, up by 7.4% YoY, 2.28 million tonnes of semi-coke, down by 21.9% YoY, 93,500 tonnes of calcium carbide, down by 15.8% YoY, 229,800 tonnes of ferroalloys, up by 2.8% YoY, and 162,300 tonnes of magnesium metal, down by 2.8% YoY.
