Major Chinese steel mills' daily steel product output rises in late May

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 23.94 million tonnes of finished steel products during the final eleven-day period of May, when the daily output was 2,177,000 tonnes, up by 2.5% from mid-May, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of around 15.3 million tonnes, a decrease of 1,050,000 tonnes or 6.4% compared with mid-May.
