Short-process vanadium electrolyte project launched in Yanbian, Sichuan

On May 24, Yanbian County in Panzhihua, Sichuan signed an investment agreement with Zhengzhou Tianhui Vanadium Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. and Xinglian Energy Storage (Sichuan) Technology Co., Ltd. to build a vanadium electrolyte production facility. With a total investment of 1 billion yuan (139 million US dollars), the project is expected to generate around 3 billion yuan (417 million US dollars) in annual output once completed.
Located in the Vanadium-Titanium Industrial Development Zone, the project will produce 80,000 cubic meters of vanadium electrolyte per year. Focused on vanadium flow battery technology, it will make use of Panzhihua's rich vanadium resources to move from basic processing to high-value energy storage applications. This project will help fill a gap in vanadium electrolyte production and energy storage integration in Southwest China, strengthening the region's position in the new energy storage industry.
