Yunnan Hongyan begins production at 250ktpa aluminum alloy slab ingot project

On May 20, Yunnan Hongyan New Materials Co., Ltd. commenced production at its high-precision aluminum alloy slab ingot project, with an annual capacity of 250,000 tons.
The project leverages the advantage of direct molten aluminum supply from Yunnan Hongtai New Materials Co., Ltd., enabling on-site conversion of molten aluminum. The resulting alloy slab ingots are primarily used in applications such as battery foils and casings for new energy vehicles, automotive panels, printing plate substrates, can stock, and architectural decorative strips.
The project is equipped with advanced equipment, including four 110-ton round stationary melting furnaces and four 120-ton rectangular tilting holding furnaces. It is capable of producing aluminum alloy slab ingot up to 640×2,220×10,500mm in size and weighing up to 40 tons each, for direct supply to downstream aluminum rolling and processing enterprises.
