Shandong Hontron Aluminum Industry Holding Company Limited plans to acquire 100% equity interest in Shandong Hongtuo Industrial Co., Ltd. from shareholders including Shandong Weiqiao Aluminum And Power Co., Ltd.through a share issuance. The transaction is valued at RMB63.52 billion (USD8.82 billion).
Hongtuo Industrial is a global leader in aluminum product manufacturing and one of the world's largest producers of primary aluminum, with an annual production capacity of 6.46 million tonnes of primary aluminum and 19 million tonnes of alumina. This acquisition will facilitate Hontron's transformation from a company focused solely on aluminum deep processing into a fully integrated player across the entire aluminum industry chain, encompassing alumina, primary aluminum, and downstream processing.
