China's copper cathode production up 9% in Apr

China's refined copper (copper cathode) production was around 1.25 million tonnes in April 2025, up by 9.0% YoY, and that of copper products rose by 8.4% YoY to 2.08 million tonnes, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to April, China produced about 4.78 million tonnes of copper cathode, up by 5.6% over the prior year period, and 7.49 million tonnes of copper products, up by 5.2% versus a year ago.
