China's Jan-Apr steel products output up 6% YoY

In April 2025, China produced 72.58 million tonnes of pig iron, up by 0.7% YoY, 86.02 million tonnes of crude steel, on par with a year ago, and 125.09 million tonnes of steel products, up by 6.6% YoY, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first four months, the country's production of pig iron edged up by 0.8% YoY to 288.85 million tonnes, crude steel production slightly increased by 0.4% YoY to 345.35 million tonnes, and steel products production increased by 6.0% YoY to 480.21 million tonnes.
