China's Q1 steel products output rises 6.1% YoY

In March 2025, China produced 75.29 million tonnes of pig iron, up by 3.1% YoY, 92.84 million tonnes of crude steel, up by 4.6% YoY, and 134.42 million tonnes of steel products, up by 8.3% YoY, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first quarter, the country's production of pig iron edged up by 0.8% YoY to 216.28 million tonnes, crude steel production slightly increased by 0.6% YoY to 259.33 million tonnes, and steel products production increased by 6.1% YoY to 358.74 million tonnes.
