Xingren to develop 500ktpa primary aluminum project

Xingren City in southwest China's Guizhou Province is seeking investment for a 500,000tpa primary aluminum project, according to a notice issued by the city's investment promotion center.
The project, with a planned land area of 800Mu (approximately 53.33 hectares), will mainly build facilities including an electrolytic workshop, a desulfurization flue gas purification system, an anode assembly workshop, and other supporting infrastructure. The total investment for the project is estimated at 7.52 billion yuan (1.04 billion US dollars).
According to statistics, all downstream aluminum processing projects in Xingren have been completed and are now fully operational, resulting in a demand for approximately 935,000tpa of primary aluminum. However, the city's existing primary aluminum production capacity of 500,000tpa falls significantly short of this demand. The construction of this project, which will produce 500,000 tonnes of primary aluminum liquid annually, is supported by a well-established industrial base and favorable development conditions. The project is expected to have strong market potential and significant economic value.
Once completed, the project is expected to generate an annual industrial output value of 11 billion yuan (1.52 billion US dollars), create 2.3 billion yuan (318 million US dollars) in profits, contribute over 350 million yuan (48.32 million US dollars) in taxes, and directly or indirectly create more than 20,000 jobs.
