Sinonesium Time completes trial of first 100tpa magnesium hydride production line

On September 10, Sinonesium Time Technology Co., Ltd. completed successful commissioning of the world's first 100tpa magnesium hydride hydrogen storage material production line located at Xishan Economic & Technological Development Zone in Jiangsu, China.
The company introduced the production line and technology from France to China in 2023 and has built by far the world's biggest production line for Mg-based solid hydrogen storage material, with an annual production capacity of 100 tonnes.
During the commissioning, the production line produced magnesium hydride hydrogen storage material with a hydrogen storage density of up to 6.5wt%, which means each piece of disc-shaped magnesium hydride can store 65 grams of hydrogen. This hydrogen storage material product can be reused for more than 7,200 times and over 85% of the material is recyclable.
