Yunnan Copper Co., Ltd. has partnered with Liangshan Industrial Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd. to set up a copper smelting joint venture, in a strategic move to enhance the copper smelting industry and establish a fully integrated mining and smelting supply chain in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province,
The joint venture will have a registered capital of 500 million yuan (69.04 million US dollars), with Yunnan Copper contributing 300 million yuan (41.42 million US dollars) in cash for a 60% stake, and Liangshan Industrial Investment injecting 200 million yuan (27.62 million US dollars) for the remaining 40% ownership.
