Jinyuan Magnesium to build 80ktpa magnesite mining project

On March 3, the environmental impact assessments (EIA) for a 800,000tpa magnesite mining project developed by Xinjiang Zhonghe Jinyuan Magnesium Industry Co., Ltd. was released for public disclosure.
According to the EIA, the project will be located in Shanshan, Xinjiang, covering an area of 1.70km2, and have an annual open-pit mining capacity of 800,000 tonnes of magnesite with a life-of-mine of 11.93 years. The finished products of the project is magnesite lump of 120mm~200mm and 20mm~60mm. The total investment of the project is about RMB51.49 million (USD7.07 million).
