Wenfeng Group expects first bauxite shipment from Guinea

On February 10, a vessel loaded with bauxite from the phase two of AGB2A-GIC project (GIC II) in Guinea left port and headed towards Caofeidian, China. This marks the first bauxite shipment from the project, which is jointly invested by Sinohydro Corporation Limited and Hebei Wenfeng Industrial Group Co., Ltd.
Yellow River Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sinohydro, is in charge of bauxite exploration, mining and striping, and transport for GIC II. As the first bauxite project invested by Wenfeng Group in Guinea, GIC II is expected to export more than 10 million dry tonnes of bauxite annually when fully operational. Wenfeng Group will directly purchase bauxite from the project through its own bauxite haulage road and export port in Guinea.
