Qinghai Qiaotou Aluminum And Power Co., Ltd. plans to build a 500,000tpa green aluminum project under a capacity replacement scheme, according to the Industry and Information Technology Bureau of Datong County.
As part of the capacity swap scheme, the company plans to build 312 electrolytic cells of 600kA for a total primary aluminum production capacity of 500,000tpa, which is expected to come on stream in December 2026.
