Inner Mongolia made further headway in the exploration for strategic minerals in 2024, with newly discovered resources including 591 million tonnes of iron ore, 80.6 tonnes of gold, 52,400 tonnes of molybdenum, 11.89 million tonnes of fluorspar, 12.76 billion tonnes of coal, and 513.27 tonnes of silver, 222,100 tonnes of lead, 707,100 tonnes of zinc, 397 tonnes of indium, 1.77 million tonnes of pyrophyllite, and 2.19 million tonnes of mirabilite.
